Also, our demo of the track "Path of Destruction" has already had over 450 plays on MySpace. The band is currently looking to record some more tracks in the near future. The show last night at Wall Street was awesome... The crowd was into it - we were into it - it went really good. Plans right now are to land a few gigs a month and go from there. Next show is October 20th @ the Boro with Pile of Face from NY and Soulskin from Cookeville.

So the show last Saturday was great - but the story about before the show is crazy... To make a long story short - this lady hits Walter's car, has no insurance and decides to leave the scene. Walter stands in front of her car to stop her and Nathan is behind the car. Next thing you know the lady whips the car around and is now facing Nathan. So, she slams on the gas and hits Nathan with her car - he grabs onto the hood and hangs on for dear life... About two miles later (and a in-flight phone call to the cops) she stops at the red light and Nathan jumps off and into the car of Keith (owner of Harvey Banger's) and they chase her down while still giving directions the cops. Walter and Nathan end up spending almost two hours in night court - and then make it back just in time to play the show... true story.

6/24/2005
We played a show last night at Harvey Bangers in Nashville with Niacin Flush and Seconds Remaining. It was a lot of fun - we played a pretty good show and so the owner asked us to come play again next week. You should come check it out! It looks like we are gearing up to play out quite a bit more.

6/16/2005
More new gear... Ben just bought a new Aphex Fretless Bass to add to his collection and Nathan picked up a new PDP Drum Set to keep from damaging his vintage Slingerland set.

5/5/2005
This past Tuesday night Thomas received a phone call from the guys in Downfall, saying that some of the practice spaces where 44 Vegas rehearses were broken into. 44 Vegas was lucky because our gear was untouched. But the situation still hit home and gave us a scare so we spent the night packing up just to keep our peace of mind. It's better to still have your own gear and be packing it up than to not have it at all. Whoever robbed the spaces was downright mean about it - destroying anything they didn't steal.... I'm not sure what we can do about it at this point, but for the meantime we're storing our stuff elsewhere. It makes us all sick to think someone could take our instruments from us... Not cool.

4/26/2005
44 Vegas ended up playing the show at the Boro on April 12 with Walter. He did pretty good singing, so the band decided to offer him the gig as our singer. Now begins the fun part of making music and putting a lot of hard work into it so he can play "catch up." It's a good feeling though, having a singer again...

3/30/2005
It's been a while since any news was posted. The website will be getting a new look and some new sounds pretty soon, so check back. We have been working on recording some songs quite a bit and working with a guy who wants to be our singer for a couple weeks now. Nothing final, just "testing the water." We are also discussing a show at the Boro on April 12. Sign up for our mailing list and we'll make sure you know about it.

1/27/2005
It's a new year... Well, actually January is almost over... We're still holding auditions for a singer and that's going okay but no news yet. It seems like it was Nathan's to update gear so he got new heads, got a Zildjian China cymbal, a CAD mic set, a mixer, mic stands and clips, and mic cables... That should be fun for recording practices and shows. Also, I cleaned (and I mean cleaned) my entire drum set by taking off every lug, tension rod, bolt and screw, and polished each shell and the hardware. My drums look better than ever! We are more ready than ever before to start gigging hard and making this "band thing" happen for us, just no singer yet. We'll keep you posted.

12/6/2004
So, the other day we get a call asking if we'll play a show on the NEXT DAY... We end up saying that we will and played a pretty fun show on December 2nd at the 'Boro with these guys called "The Brakemen." Both bands played a pretty good show and so everyone was entertained for the evening. Gear update: Ben got a new Hartke 7000 bass amp so now we've got the 4x10 cab and the 15" sub running. Man does that thing hit deep. Still looking for a singer, still writing songs, still having a blast and keepin' it real for ya...

10/28/2004
Ok, so Ben went and got a new Schecter Bass and all new effect pedals. No more "future" (our joke about the Roland V-Bass) I guess... It sounds so awesome that we knew it was a good thing right away. We also got an 8 foot gear rack now in our practice space which is fun to mess with.

9/28/2004
Yeah, it's been a while since any news was posted. No new singer yet - but we're still searching high and low... NEVER SAY DIE! Believe it or not, we're writing more and more rockin' music these days. Without playing to many shows lately, we've all been getting new gear, and cleaning or repairing old gear. Hey, Eric got a new guitar, man! It's a Paul Reid Smith Santana. You never know what to expect. Stay tuned...

6/26/2004
Hey! Thomas got married!

5/3/2004
Well, we found a studio to record in, but... those of you who are in the loop already know this, but we are currently without a singer and have been auditioning some folks. This is an exciting time for 44 Vegas as we prepare for the unknown future. It's been hard to turn down gigs, but we're confident that it will all work out for the best. Stay tuned, stay pumped, we're working hard to get back to "normal."

3/16/2004
We've been in "songwriting mode" lately... just trying to get some new stuff out there for you to listen to. A lot of good things are in the works.

2/10/2004
Biggest news right now is that our website is up and running... and also just played the Boro... 44 VEGAS is currently studio shopping to produce a new demo... more to follow.
